GUIDELINES TO PARENTS

Parents are the first teachers. The environment, behavior & relationships at home reflect on the child’s personality. Parents therefore, are expected to be role models to their children. They are expected to cooperate by sending their children to School in time after vacations, check School Diary and notebooks of their children, pay the fees in time, follow the visiting hours and participate actively in the Parent-Teacher meeting on second Sunday as per SCHOOL CALENDAR.

1. Always keep the School informed about the latest, current residential address and contact numbers for easy communication.

2. Parents are advised to pay the fees and other dues on the reporting day and fee must be paid between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. only. Payment of fees shall be through Demand Draft from one of the following, drawn in favour of SREE VIDYA PEETH:

3. Parents are advised to come and take the wards for holidays and they must hand over the child to the warden, while reporting back after holidays between 8:00 a.m. to 4: p.m. on reporting day only.

4. School will not send the children alone and will not receive if they come alone.

5. Parents should attend the parent teacher meeting between 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 2nd Sunday as per SCHOOL CALENDAR.

6. Parents may speak to the child on Telephone between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. or between 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Sundays and public holidays.

7. Oily food is not allowed into the dormitories.

8. Phone calls to the children must be avoided as far as possible. However, in unavoidable circumstances, the children can be contacted over phone through the Principal.

9. Students should not be provided with expensive watches and pens, jewellery, cameras, electronic gadgets, cell phones etc. The school will not be responsible for the loss of any such valuables.

10. While the School strives to shape the personality of your child academically and otherwise, you can help by exposing the child to various development activities, culturally and spiritually and constantly talking to the child on various fields of interest to him/her. Parents are expected to be ideal in their polite habits and usage of language.

11. Parents must avoid visiting children during school working hours.

12. Parents are advised to deposit their ward’s pocket money strictly with warden(s).

13. When corresponding with the school, parents are requested to mention class in which their children are studying.


Rules & Regulations

Students are expected to follow the following rules and regulations for smooth functioning of the School routine.

1. Students are to abide strictly by the discipline and routine of the school.

2. Students are expected to be systematic and organized in their work.

3. Students are expected to be punctual to the school daily in neat and clean uniform. Those who have been late for the day or absent for the previous day must give the reason, signed by the parent.

4. A student absenting himself/herself from the school without permission for more than ten days will be considered as left the school and the name shall be struck off the school records.

5. Students suffering from contagious disease cannot be permitted to attend the school.

6. Students are expected to bring the books according to the class time-table.

7. Students are generally expected to be responsible for the safe custody of their books and other belongings. Students themselves are responsible for their own books and other articles they bring to the school. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles, money etc. to the school. The school is not responsible for any valuable items or money lost.

8. Students should respect each other, besides those in authority.

9. Use of abusive or foul language, shouting, whistling, cat calling, booing etc., will not be tolerated and invites stringent punishment.

10. Students are expected to learn and observe good manners at table in dining hall, library, Composite Science Lab, Maths Lab, Computer Science Lab and elsewhere.

11. Any willful damage done by a student to the building, furniture, apparatus, computers or any other school property is to be made good by the parent or the guardian.

12. Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the Principal. They will not be called to answer telephone calls during class hours.

13. Students should get their progress reports signed by their parents/guardians within five days of their receipt.

14. Any student found using unfair means in any of the examinations, will be debarred from the examination.

15. Students must communicate only in English at all times except during language classes.

16. Students are strictly forbidden to enter staff rooms without permission.

17. Students are strictly forbidden to introduce objectionable books, newspapers and periodicals into the school.

18. No Transfer Certificate or any other Certificates will be issued to the students who are in arrears of fees nor will they be permitted to write the examinations.

19. Use or possession of tobacco, intoxicants and any kind of harmful drugs is strictly forbidden.

20. Vehicles are not allowed inside the campus premises.

21. Unauthorized food is not allowed inside the campus.

22. A "no nonsense" attitude and exemplary punishment is meted out to students involving ragging.

23. Any deviation from the acceptable norms and discipline, and moral behavior, may attract disciplinary measures such as warnings, suspension, and in extreme cases, expulsion from the school.

24. If any student is expelled from the school by removing his/her name from the register, the entire fee paid during that academic year shall be forfeited, irrespective of the date of such expulsion.
